My Story
As early as I can remember, I've loved fishing.
My father got both my brother & I started very young and we've been fishing ever since.
From as early as 3 years old I can recall fishing with my Grandfather, Dad & Family around Mayne Island.
Since then, I've enjoyed countless amazing experiences on the waters around BC.
We've had some great adventures and shared some great memories along the way and now I'd like to help others make some fantastic memories too. ​

I have been boating all my life too and as such have accumulated a great knowledge of boating & fishing skills. I learned how to sail at age 6 and grew up sailing and boating & fishing the Gulf Islands, Vancouver & Desolation Sound areas.

Later in life (2000) I joined the local chapter of Canadian Power & Sail Squadron, recently rebranded as "CanBoat" https://www.canboat.ca, and I have been teaching safe boating for over 24 years. I am a Past Commander and currently hold the position of VHF Officer with the North Shore Power Squadron.
Since getting my Captain credentials several years ago, I have work as a Captain for hire, provided vessel relocation and have been teaching other new boaters how to be more confident & skilled at operating & handling their own boats.
In my early days my fishing skills were limited to whatever I could jig up from the depths below. Since then I have fished the Salish Sea area from top to bottom, spent many seasons fishing the West Coast of BC, Bamfield & Ucluelet area and ventured up to Nootka, Winter Harbour and have fished the Haida Gwaii area too. I still enjoy each trip out on the water with anticipation of the adventure that lies ahead...
