Nanaimo - is an easy & scenic 1.5 hour drive from Nanaimo on the Island Hwy 19.

Vancouver - via BC Ferries (https://www.bcferries.com/):

from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay (~1.5 hrs) then Island Hwy 19 to Campbell River, or
from Tsawwassen Ferry to Duke Point (~2 hrs) then Island Hwy 19 to Campbell River

Seattle - take Blackball ferry to Victoria (1.5 hrs) then Island Hwy to Campbell River (~3 hrs)
